Yakup Kadri as an Karaosmanoğlu political thinkers

Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoglu is one of the most important people of Turkish literature. He brought the rapid transformation which was lived from empire to rebuplic in Turkey out with precious literary works.Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoglu who took part in the memory of Turkish society as a master man of letters was also a politician who had a political life for half a century. Being ignored of this aspect and not being examined enough are seen as an important deficienci.For all his life, Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoglu was a defender of a political approach with both his political novels and his political activities. This political approach is the authoritarian modernization.In a manner of speaking by evolutian, western modernization came true by gathering of historical, economic and social condition in a long process with liberal doctrine.Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoglu and literaries like him defended a radical comment of modernization. This approach-which aims to rearrange this backward community with positivist doctrine by the power of government-is named as authoritarian modernization in literature of politics science.Anti-democratic, anti-liberal, authoritarian and selectist structure of the process is excused as break period of moving to forward community by the defenders.Political selects with has pressure on the community with a modernist program and social- psychological shocks element of political tensions.Political activities about radical modernization and his unsettled thoughts of this process of Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoglu who had been spent all his life in the transformation which was lived from empire to republic had been examined.
