Abstract (EN)
The World Health Organization has defined health as "Health is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, but a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being". Moreover, with the Family Medicine model being implemented in our country, the biopsychosocial approach has gained importance as a holistic approach. In this study, it is aimed to contribute to primary health care services in order to improve psychological support services in order to increase service quality and performance by determining the need and quality of psychological support in primary health care services. This can be done with expert staff and specialization that will produce specific knowledge and experience for the field. As a sample, data were collected from a family health center in a region that is similar in terms of variables such as socioeconomic level and education level. Data were collected with a form to determine the psychological support needs of 100 people who applied to the family health center. 69 people were interviewed to learn about their individual experiences and perceptions on this issue. The patients stated that they wanted to receive psychological support with a high frequency, that it was appropriate to provide psychological support services in family health centers, and this situation had many advantages in terms of service. They stated that they wanted psychological support services to be provided in many other subjects, especially in coping with anxiety and fear.
