Bolu Girls' Teacher School (1952-1975)

Education has been an important tool in shaping societies throughout history. Teacher training has an important place among the innovation and development efforts of the education systems of the countries. In this study, the outlines of training teachers in primary education were drawn, while, Bolu Kizilcullu Village Institute, Bolu Girls' Village Institute, Bolu Girls' Teacher School, Bolu Girls' High School, and Elementary School, which are institutions that train teachers, were examined. Bolu Kizilçullu Village Institute started its education activities in 1952. In 1953, village institutes and primary school's programs were merged; The name of the "Bolu Kizilçullu Village Institute" was first changed to "Bolu Girls' Village Institute", and in 1954 the Village Institutes were converted into primary schools. The school was called "Bolu Girls' Teacher School". The school was closed in 1980, on September 12; In 1981, the school's buildings were transferred to Bolu Vocational High School of Hospitality and Tourism. The students of this school were trained in practice and performed sewing and embroidery by playing a small instrument; they also contributed to the production by farming. They were able to adapt anywhere by doing an internship in town and the city. Bolu Girls' Teachers' School; With its organizational structure, administrative and educational staff, it has trained many valuable women teachers for the country during its important activities. This school has always been an excellent institution among our teacher training models and can always be cited as an example.
