Detection of anti-oxidant enzyme activity and heavy metal levels in seed of bıttım menegic (Pistacia Terebinthus)

Abstract (EN)

Turkey is one of the first to come to mind in the trade of medical and kozmetic plants, thanks to its geographic location, climate and plant diversity, agricultural potential, broad surface measurement. In Turkey, about 10,000 plant species grow. One of these species, the pistachios , is a fruit of about 80 million years, with 11 species in the gum tree family. Pistacia terebinthus L.. (bıttım, citlembic or menengic) is one of these types of pistachios. And that's why our research results are examined the antioxidant levels and heavy metal content of the Pistacia Terebinthus seeds. In this research, the study found that Copper (Cu) metal was found to have an average of 591.2 ± 9.7 mg/100g. Again, Manganez (MN) metal was ranked second in 528.7±3.1 mg/100g. Kobalt (Co) metal was last with a ratio of 1.67 mg/100g. In addition, according to the results of the antioxidant enzyme, it has been determined that the most Superoxide Dismutase (DOS) enzymes are 3.24 ± 0.13864 U/mL in small seeds and 5.3722 ± 0.29830 U/mL in large seeds. In the second row, Catalaz (PLY) monitored enzymes in small seeds by 1.23 ± 0.12640 U/mL and by 2.56 ± 0.163426 U/mL in large seeds. The Xsantin Oxide (XO) enzyme was detected in seeds that were 0.75 ± 0.02980 U/mL large in seeds with a small enzyme of 1.27 ± 0.08561 U/mL. In these results, the Siirt region should be carefully used for use in plant seeds in medical and cosmetic fields, as it has a side effect on excessive use of heavy metals. From an antioxidant enzymes perspective, it was determined that there were many useful enzymes for the human tomorrow. Keywords: Bıttım, antioxidant enzyme, heavy metal, SiirT
