Özet (EN)

The purpose of the current study is to evaluate students? performances via fuzzy multi criteria decision making methods by analyzing the use of fuzzy logic approach in decision making processes. To this end, the students? performances were evaluated via FAHP, FTOPSIS methods which are among fuzzy multi criteria decision making methods and the traditional evaluation method and the evaluation results were compared. The third year students at the department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology, Fatih Education Faculty, Karadeniz Technical University were chosen as sample and their performance in the course ?Multimedia Design and Development? were evaluated via the developed fuzzy system. At the end of the evaluation, the students? grades given in the traditional evaluation method and their grades given via the developed fuzzy logic approach were compared and expert opinion regarding the results was obtained. The results indicate that the grades given via the developed fuzzy logic approach were more sensitive and accurate as compared to the grades given in the traditional evaluation method. Also, subjective errors were identified by the system except for the pre-determined criteria in the process of evaluation. It is considered that the system designed as an alternative to the traditional evaluation methods can be used for different courses and evaluation purposes.
