Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine bird species spreading in Karataş Lake (Burdur-Karamanlı), to determine seasonal population sizes of species and to raise awareness of local people in terms of conservation of area and sustainability to future generations. Between 2016 and 2017, Karataş Lake was visited once or twice a month for twelve months and required counts and species were determined using point count and random observation methods. When the physical conditions were suitable, the birds were entered into the agricultural areas (agricultural lands) surrounding the lake and the birds were recorded in coordinate points. During the counts, water birds, birds of prey, song birds, etc., were carried out without any distinction. The census of water birds and the distribution of birds on the lake and flocks are unchanged and the inventory of songbirds is 100 m. Right and 100th left. In the vicinity of Karataş Lake and Wildlife Development Area, 55596 individuals from 95 different species belonging to 32 families consisting of 13 teams were identified. The results obtained were compared with the results of the mid-winter waterfowl census conducted almost regularly in the research area from 1970 to the present day. In addition, information and informative activities were ad efor the local people about wetlands and living things in the research area and the awareness of Karataş Lake in terms of Wildlife Development Area was emphasized once again.
