Abstract (EN)

After the Turks meeting the religion of Islam, the works on morality began to be written. The first examples of these works were given by Kutadgu bilig, written by Yusuf Has Hacip in the 11th century, and examples continued to be given for centuries. Espicially in the 16th century many moral books were written diversifiying the subjects of prose works. The Qur'an and hadiths formed the basis of the books of morality, as religious toughts and principles were very influential on society. It can be said that the purpose of the writing the moral books is to regulate the behavior of people in their personal and social lives. Cafer Iyanı's Kitâb Fî Fezâili'l-Ahlâk, we are working on, is one of these moral Works. The aim of the thesis is to examine this work which name is not found on the sources about Câfer ʿİyânî and bring it to the scientific world. This study consist of an introduction and the three main chapter. In the introduction the concept of the morality is emphasized and some opinions on the concept of the morality are given. Also information given about some works on morality written in the Ottoman period. In the first chapter, information given about the life and works of Câfer ʿİyânî. In the second chapter the stories in the work analyzed in the terms of themes, language and wording. This chapter also includes the titles of "Literary Devices", " Parts in Verse and Their Features", "Summaries of Stories" and " Book cited in the Work". In the third chapter there is description of the copy and the transcription of the text. After the third chapter "Conclusion", "Index" which containing the names of people, places and works and "Bibliography" comes. Key Words: Advice, Câfer ʿİyânî, Kitâb Fî Fezâili'l-Ahlâk, moral works.
