Design process of modern sculpture

To product objects to provide his needs is main feature that separates human from other living things. Every object that product same way follows a design process. Even if artistic production has not a functional feature, it also exists after following a design process. One of the oldest branchs, sculpture, has evolved with history in the context of design process and the most important changes has happened with modernism. This research is aimed to provide an understanding what has occurred in design processes in modern sculpture with examples of the important sculptors of the period.For this purpose, firstly describing of sculpture were evaluated in the first chapter. Modern sculpture which is living on phenomenon of modernism was examined in historical process and sculpture?s change and transformation were discussed in this process. Post-modernism in 1960 also brought with different views have been influential in every aspect of the concept of postmodernism and its reflections in the sculpture in this section has been evaluated as a subhead.In Section Two, design concept was examined. With consideration differance between endustrial and artistic design Problem, Creativity and Designed Product which are essential subjects of design concept was researched under Design Process title.How Pre-modern sculpture design occured, effects of materials and techniques used on design process were interrogated firstly. And finally, design processes of the important artists of modern sculpture were examined.
