Abstract (EN)

It is explained that the political development, especially the organization and the activities of CHP which was the unchangeable government of the one party period in Çankırı, in the one party period of time which was from the declaration of Republic to 1945, in that thesis. CHP, the dominant political power in Çankırı, organized in everywhere from the villages to the city centre of Çankırı. Short-lived opposition parties couldn?t be effective against the authoritarian power of CHP in Çankırı. Because of that the local press in Çankırı was on the government?s side, the opposition parties even had no chance to do something in Çankırı. CHP created its organizational system through its congresses in all villages, townships, districts and the center of Çankırı. By means of these congresses, the wishes and requests of the people in Çankırı would be made list and would be sent to upper congresses step by step. Those wishes and requests would lastly come to the congress of city. After those wishes and requests were under debate in the congress of city, they would be sent to Ankara to be distributed to the relevant ministries. In this way, requests and needs of the people would be tried to be determined and replied even if just a bit.The party organization of CHP in Çankırı would periodically be inspected according to its party bylaws by the inspectors sent from the party headquarters. The deficiencies of CHP in Çankırı detected by the inspections would be sent to the relevant office in the party headquarters. This office in the party headquarters would warn the party organization of CHP in Çankırı to supply their deficiencies.
