Özet (EN)

In the Şarkikaraağaç-Çarıksaraylar region, there found to be geological units of ages varying between Paleozoic and Senozoic. The Paleozoic Sultandede Formation, divided into to Çaltepe and Kocakızıl limestone members, the Mesozoic Hacıalabaz Formation is located with in angular unconformity on the Sultandede Formation. In the region, lateritized dolerites, extending several kilometres and above all these units, alluvions of Quaternary age are found. Two kinds of ore deposition with different origin namely silicious iron and galena bearing barite, have been observed in the region. Presently, the galena bearing barite deposit is of more importance. Silicious iron deposit of the field, formed by separation of dolerites, is located as a layer at the bottom of the limestone layers with dolomitic ingradients. From the analysis of ferro-laterites, it was determined that the amount of Si and Fe is more than that of the Al. Galena-bearing barites are found in the metasediments and calcschist in the Sultandede formation, and in the dolomite and limestones units of Çaltepe formation as well as at the contact of these units. Deposited as veins, fillings of joints, lenses and layer, the galena-bearing barites deposits have a strike in the NW-SE and a dip in the SW-NE directions. Other term barite, galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, pyrite, tennantite-tetrahedrite, neodigenite, chalcocite-covellite, cerussite-anglesite, limonite, manganese, hematite, malachite and azurite minerals are found in the deposits. Those of gangue minerals are dolomite, siderite, calcite and quartz. In the galena units of Dikmen Tepe ore deposits, the amount of Ag is 56-58 gr/ton As, on the other hand is about 110 ppm. Galena-bearing barites are thought to be of mesotermal type deposits originated from hydrothermal solutions.
