Abstract (EN)
In this study, antioxidant properties of extracts water and ethanol of Rubus discolor, Achillea milefolium, Crataegus monogyna, which are under in vitro conditions were investigated. The lipid peroxidation (LPO), levels of fatty acid, lipophylic vitamin values and cholesterol levels, the amount of total protein and glutathione were measured in rats applied R. discolor flower water extract, highest in vitro antioxidant activity. For this purpose, control, H2O2 reagent and containing extract of Rubus discolor groups and their combinations were used.In order to determine in vitro antioxidant and antiradical activities of extracts, the total antioxidant activity, 2,2´-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging activity, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH?) free radical scavenging activity, reducing power, superoxide anion radical (O2?-) scavenging activity, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, FRAP assay and metal chelating activities were performed separately. In addition, total phenolic compound in extracts were determined as pyrocatechol and quercetin equivalent. It was determined that extracts -especially R. discolor extract- were effective antioxidant property.According to our study results, in vivo conditions, it was determined that amount of LPO was increased, GSH and total protein levels were decreased in H2O2 applied group. And it was observed that amount of LPO was decreased or protected, GSH and total protein levels were increased or protected in extract applied groups. It was observed that lipophylic vitamin and cholesterol levels were clearly affected in extract applied groups. Extract was significantly affected amount of important fatty acids that substrates in fatty acid metabolism on duty enzymes. In addition, it was observed that amount of GSH-Px and SOD increased in the extract applied groups.In conclusion, it can be said that A. millefolium, C. monogyna and R. discolor extracts are effective source of antioxidants and R. discolor flower extracts are effective antioxidants in vivo conditions.
