Personnel working in children's homes within the scope of religious social services

Religious Social Service activities are carried out for children living in children's homes, which is one of the social service institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Family and Social Policies. This study has been planned in order to evaluate the related activities and raise them to better levels. In the first chapter, social work and the topics that serve this field are explained around the conceptual framework, and the subject is examined with sub-dimensions such as the aims of social work, fields of study and history. Then, the concept of Religious Social Work, which constitutes the spiritual aspect of social services, makes its name known throughout the world and responds to religious needs, is explained. In this context, the legal aspects of this project, which is carried out jointly by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and the Presidency of Diyanet, were mentioned, and the job description and activities of the Diyanet personnel were stated. Findings at the end of our study on finding complementary aspects of social work and religious social work show that this subject is extremely important for children in need of care and protection of Religious Social Work. In the second part, the aspect that constitutes the quality of the thesis and which is aimed to contribute to the literature is discussed and the qualifications that should be found in Diyanet personnel working in children's homes are titled. In this context, the topics examined as professional formation, professional attitude and professional motivation were explained in detail, and we focused on what qualifications should be found in Diyanet personnel and what should be paid attention to. Qualitative research is closely related to the process rather than the products, and is the study of revealing perceptions and events in a natural environment in a realistic and holistic way. In this context, relevant information was obtained by making a literature review, which is a qualitative research method used in examining past events or a problem in terms of its relevance to the past. During the process, libraries, online libraries and other internet sites were used, and opinions were exchanged with academicians who are experts in their fields for literature determination. The development process of in-service training activities of the Presidency of Diyanet has been examined. As a result of the cooperation with SHÇEK, evaluations were made on the current project, and suggestions were developed to carry out this project carried out for disadvantaged groups on a scientific basis, to determine the needs, to eliminate the deficiencies, and to increase the quality of religious education activities.
