Abstract (EN)

The Covid-19 pandemic has deeply affected social and economic life all over the world. The measures taken during the epidemic have significantly changed working life, ways of doing business and consumption patterns. The most important changes brought by the pandemic are mandatory curfew and working from home practices. During the course of the pandemic, it has been observed that most of the goods are acquired from the web environment instead of physical shopping channels. As expected, the e-commerce and cargo sector has grown significantly. The curfews experienced during the pandemic, which put all physical shopping processes in a deadlock in a short time, also caused serious meltdowns in newspaper and magazine sales. Turkuvaz Distribution Inc., which is the only national company in the newspaper and magazine distribution sector in Turkey, has been adversely affected by this process like many companies. After these developments, the firm has focused on an innovative transformation process in the cargo sector by adapting to changing trade conditions leveraging its distribution experience. This study deals with this transformation process. In the study, the case study method was used and the existing resources and capabilities of the company were evaluated by its managers. The innovation adoption vi process has been examined according to Kotter's Change Model under 8 main stages and the lessons learnt on the innovation management have been highlighted. Keywords: COVID-19, E-commerce, Kotter's Change Model, Logistics
