We chose the period between 1923-1940 because the novels written in the first years of the Republic are suitable for evaluating the masses in the context of the ideas and ideologies that influenced Turkish Literature. In this context, the writers and novels of the period were examined; In our thesis, examples of novels containing discourse about the masses are presented. Our thesis consists of four main parts. In the first part, the concept of mass is explained and the role of effective ideologies in reflecting the masses in the novels between 1923 and 1940 has been emphasized. In the second part, the existence of the elements of mass psychology in the novels was questioned. In the third part, the types of masses formed in the context of ideologies, ideas, beliefs and social characteristics in the novels are focused on. We tried to explain in the fourth chapter, where we evaluated the elements that constitute mass discourse, that the masses are not just about ideas and words expressing their physical presence. We should state that we benefited theoretically from Teun Van Dijk's ideology study on news texts. In the conclusion pt of our thesis, we tried to determine the common elements in the novels of the authors who included the masses and the stylistic differences that occurred while reflecting the masses. At the end of the study, there is an alphabetical 'Bibliography' section where the sources referenced in the thesis are included. Keywords: Discourse, ideology, mass psychology, Turkish novel.
