Abstract (EN)

Religions aim at people's happiness. We can define religion as a concept that holds people together, affects cultural dynamics, provides a unity of belief even if they do not live in the same region, and answers people's questions especially in metaphysics. Although there are "unifying and positive" factors within the concept of religion, it is known that in order to strengthen the intellectual infrastructure of "radical religious organizations", they use religion as a reference, make propaganda through the leaders they are affiliated with and recruit members to the group they belong to. There is a basic finding that the experts who express their thoughts on the historical past and future of the concept of terrorism agree on the definition of terrorism; "Terrorism is as old as human history and will continue as long as humanity exists." It is understood from here; The conclusion that "as long as people live, the phenomenon of terror will also live" constitutes the basic hypothesis of our study. At the center of religious radicalism, the striking dimension is reaching young people who generally think like themselves and are close to their own ideologies when it comes to recruiting new members for terrorist organizations, who also have broken familial ties and suffer from economic difficulties. In this study, we tried to investigate and explain the effects of belief, motivation and environmental reasons on the development of religious radicalization processes, including the contact of terrorist groups with potential members of the organization. In this study, "Terrorist Organizations with Religious Motifs" were investigated from the establishment of the Republic in Turkey until the July 15 coup attempt of FETO.
