Abstract (EN)

Behavioral finance acknowledges that investors do not actrationally. It is accepted that investors are influenced by behavioral trends and socioeconomic factors except from risk and return factors. Although there are many behavioral tendencies, the most basic behavioral tendencies accepted in the literatureare; risk tolerance, self-confidence, herding behavior and anchoring tendencies. The aim of this study is to determinet hebehavioral tendencies of academicians in the accounting and finance discipline in their participation in the stock exchange and to investigatehte effects of these behavioral tendencies on their participation in the Stock exchangeor not. In addition, the socioeconomic factors of the participants were compared with their participation in the Stock exchange. Questions of survey applied to a total of 403 academics on accounting-finance science were analyzed through Logistic Regression and Chi-Square Test. As a result of the analyzesmade in this direction, it was concluded that there is a relationship between all selected behavioral tendencies and participation in the Stock exhange, and that 10 factors among socioeconomic Factors are associated with participation in the stock exchange.
