Determination of the level of financial literacy and study on a certified public accountant in Aydın province

A certified public accountance is a profession in today's world where both individuals and commercial enterprises receive financial information, can store financial data and send various reports on behalf of their taxpayers. Emerging and complicated financial markets have become incomprehensible in terms of individuals and commercial enterprises. It is not possible to expect to make financial arrangements at the same time, especially when commercial enterprises and companies are forced to follow up their business. For this reason, the certified public accountants have assumed responsibility for financial follow-up of taxpayers and have provided taxpayers more time to take charge of their own affairs. The most important process needed for the new business to survive and grow is to have a good certified public accountant. Here, a good certified public accountant refers to individuals with financial knowledge and high financial market dominance. As can be understood from this, the way of becoming a good certified public accountant is directly related to the high level of financial literacy. In this study, the financial literacy levels of a certified public accountants in Aydın provinces and districts were tried to be measured. It has been attempted to determine the extent to which the level of financial literacy is influenced by the age, gender and educational status of certified public accountants. In the survey, it was determined that the financial literacy level of the certified public accountants is high. It has been found out that the gender situation has a neutral influence on the financial literacy level while it is found that the education and age status among the certified public accountants are effective on the financial literacy level.
