Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted to determine the silage properties of barley (Hordeum vulgare) and forage pea (Pisun arvense) plants mixtures at diffperent rations. 9 applications were made in the research in total by using 3 varieties of plants (1 variety of forage peas (GAP pink forage peas) and 2 varieties of barley (Kendal and Samyeli barley)). The aplications were silaged: 100% Forage pea, %100 Kendal, 100% Samyeli, 75% Forage pea + %25 Kendal, 50% Forage pea + 50% Kendal, 25% Forage pea +%75 Kendal, 75% Forage pea + %25 Samyeli, 50% Forage pea +50% Samyeli and 25% Forage pea +%75 Samyeli. The silaged plants were prepared as 3 repetitions in 2 liter plastic conisters which covered tightly so as no air intake. The physical examinations (color, smell and structure) and chemical analyses (dry matter, crude ash, crude protein, ADF, NDF, pH) were done as well as having been calcuted the fleig scores, after the silage have been left for 60 days. As a result of analyzes; there were significant differences in dry matter (DDM), crude ash, crude protein, ADF, NDF, pH and flieg score (FP) values but there were no significant differences in color, smell, structure and DLG (score) values.The obtained values of dry matter (DDM), crude ash, crude protein, ADF, NDF, pH and flieg score were determined between %19.23- 30.98, %8.17-10.14,% 12.16-18.29, %35.33-40.50,% 55.02-69.76,% 3.92-4.12, 86.56-105.16 respectively. It is suggested as the result of the research that the silage which consist of %25 foreage peas and %75 barley mixtures are suitable in order to increase the quality properties.
