Abstract (EN)

The shape and dimension of the state's role in the economy is taking place in academic writing as a matter of importance in every aspect of capitalism. In recent times, especially in the 2008 global crisis, capitalism has repeatedly undergone a change of form and debates on the role of the state of neoliberalism have further increased. In this context, sovereign wealth funds, which have given a new dimension to the way in which the state takes part in the economy in particular, form the basis of this thesis work. These state-owned funds for various macroeconomic targets are increasingly weighted in the global economy. Therefore, in the study, discussions on the role of the state in the economy and the rise of sovereign wealth funds will be analyzed. In addition to assessments of their sovereign wealth funds operating in the development context and Türkiye Wealth Fund will be made.
