When the beck depression score average was compared according to the faculty they read, a statistically significant difference was observed (p <0.05). But; There is no statistically significant difference between FNBT scores among the faculties (p> 0.05). No statistically significant difference was found between smoker and non-smoker students in terms of depression (p> 0.05). Participants; There is a statistically significant difference between the sexes in each faculty in terms of smoking status compared to genders in terms of smoking status (p <0.05). Conclusion: Cigarette consumption in the family or in the immediate environment should be considered as a passive exposure and a factor that encourages smoking, and serious studies should be done to raise social awareness, especially for family members to smoke with children and young people. Given that the period of starting to smoke coincides mostly with high school period, studies and trainings aimed at preventing cigarette addiction should be concentrated in primary and secondary education periods.
