Digital forms of solidarity: A sociological reading

Digitalization has spread to almost every aspect of our daily lives by increasing its impact day by day due to the rapid development of technology. With digitalization, which has a visible effect on every aspect of our daily lives, we are able to do most of our daily work from our home and workplace, using less energy than before. In addition to social institutions, social relations, culture, space-time experience and almost every aspect of daily life, digitalization affects solidarity practices too and transforms them in certain directions. The effect of digitalization on solidarity in the context of specific practices such as cooperation, cooperation, volunteering, donation and activism is in the form of both changing it to a certain extent in terms of quality and expanding its scope and scale.
