Comparison of myocardial perfusion defect scores indippers and non-dippers

AİM: We aimed to investigate the relationship between dipper and non-dipper hypertension and scintigraphic false positivity in patients who were all hypertensive in our study and who presented with chest pain complaints. METHOD: 26 hypertensive patients who were admitted to Düzce University Cardiology Clinic with the complaint of chest pain and who had myocardial perfusion scintigraphy and scintigraphic ischemia but no coronary artery disease ,were included in the study.11 patients in the moderate risk group who underwent coronary angiography for the diagnosis of chest pain without scintigraphic significant ischemia and no critical stenosis on angiography were included as control group.group. RESULTS: In our study, according to the results of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring , there was no significant difference between, maximum systolic day and night, minimum systolic day and night, maximum diastolic day and night, minimum diastolic day and night, mean 24 hour diastolic and systolic day and night,drop values siastolik and systolic blood pressure measurements, . CONCLUSİON: We aimed to compare and investigate the frequency of false positives in myocardial perfusion scintigraphy of dipper - nondipper hypertensive patients in our study. We found no significant difference between the two groups. The main resasons , not being able to reach meaningful conclusions our study , were the inadequate number of patients (26 in the ischemic group and 11 in the control group) and the ratio of dipper hypertension in this study was very low (7 in the ischemic group and 2 in the control group).
