Material and Method: Comparison study conducted at tent cities in the Midyat. TST test was made by the method of Montoux and evaluated and recorded by a doctor 72 hours later. Quantiferon-TB Gold in Tube Test was used for IGST. Results: Fortynine participants (52.1%) had a positive Quantiferon-TB Gold in Tube Test result and 59 (62.8%) had a positive TDT result. A positive correlation was detected between Quantiferon-TB Gold in Tube test and TST. Conclusion: For all study participants, as well as for those being screened for LTBI, the QFT-Plus was comparable with the TST in its ability to detect LTBI, was less affected by BCG vaccination, discriminated responses due to nontuberculous mycobacteria, and avoided variability and subjectivity associated with placing and reading the TST.
