Abstract (EN)
VI INVESTIGATIONS ON APLICATIONS OF SHOOT-BUDDING ON SOME STONEFRUIT SPECIES IN DİYARBAKIR ECOLOGY Zafer AKTURK 2002/ 51 Pages SUMMARY In this study, development of shoots and success of budding that occured made during :he season of June and spring budding were investigated. The study, contained peach [Dixired, J. H. Hale), cherry (Dalbastı, Van), and plum (Santarosa, Can) varieties was conducted during the vegetative season of 2001 year. By the statistical analysis, according to the rates of successful budding, differences in the grafting seasons of peach but season x variety interaction were found important. Why in the June season, higher rates of successful budding were in J. H. Hale variety (97.5%) in species of peach; Santarosa variety (91.7%) in plum species and in spring season in cherry, the highest successful budding rates with Dalbastı variety (87.5%) were obtained. By statistical mean shoot grafted rates of cherry and plum showed important differences between the seasons. But no significant differences were found between the average values of varieties. The development of length and diameter of budding shoots in all of the varieties used in the study occurred sigmoidal curve. Growing period was the most effective period on development according to the all graphics that obtained generally between middle May - late July in the season of spring budding and early July - late August in the season of June buddings. At the and of vegetative season, about the development of length and diameter of shoots; the highest value were obtained at variety of Can, plum in the season of spring grafting (111.13 cm - 9.25 mm) and the least value were obtained at variety of Dixired peach in the season of June grafting (35.9 cm - 4.06 mm).
