Abstract (EN)

Many electronic equipments has entered in our life with development of technology . It should not be forgotten that devices powered by electricity are a source of electromagnetic field. At that point are there any limits of those electromagnetic fields surrounding our life? if yes what are the limits of them? Question comes to mind that are they compliance with those limits? We have made our study based on city center of Diyarbakır to learn detailed information about electromagnetic pollution. Source of electromagnetic field has been investigated individually as high frequency electromagnetic field and low frequency electromagnetic field. Because limits of electromagnetic field depend on frequency. Moreover the devices which measure high frequency electromagnetic field and low frequency electromagnetic field have different properties. In this study electric field and magnetic field exposure limits which prepared by International Commission On Non Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) have been accepted as a guide by many countries of the World as well as Turkey. At the end of this study high frequency (100 Khz-3 Ghz) measurement results obtaining from Drive Test Method have been shown on digital map. Also the measurement of low frequency (50 Hz) electromagnetic field was included in this study. Measurement results of electromagnetic field that taken from city center of Diyarbakır have been compared and evaluated according to the ICNIRP exposure limits.
