Abstract (EN)

This research was aimed to determine the yield and quality characteristics on 35 bread wheat lines and 7 registered bread wheat varieties (Bezostaya, Kınacı-97, KATE A-1, Konya 2002, Tosunbey, Saggitaro and Ceyhan-99). Among lines plant length ranged from 64.3 to 88.45 cm; spike length from 6.35 to 9.7 cm; number of grains per spike from 24.5 to 59; number of days to spike from 142 to 154; thousand grain weight from 29.49 to 48.81 g, hectoliter weight from 81.91 to 88.04 kg / hl. grain yield ranged from 300.17 to 611.78 kg / da. In the research, 10 bread wheat lines had the highest unit area yield; protein content and gluten (extract) ratio in seed. Protein content was between 13.54 and18.03%. Gluten ratio was varied from 28.6 to -49.2%. At the end of the research, it was concluded that the lines which are superior for agricultural and quality characteristics are compatible with the ecological conditions of Diyarbakır and can be considered as a candidate for varieties in the wheat production areas after further researches are completed.
