Abstract (EN)
In its lexical meaning, Mecmûa means to be gathered or collected but in literary terms it refers to the works of literature involving poetry and prose that are gathered together for a certain purpose. According to their themes there are lots of Mecmûa but among them, the most prominent one is poetry Mecmûa. Poetry Mecmûa, in a sense, is an older version of today?s poetry anthologies and it provides us with an opinion related to the taste and quality of poetry of the century when it was written. In the field of old Turkish literature the works called Dîvân in which the poets bring all their poems together, particularly become the subject of research and examination so many times that there remains almost no noteworthy Dîvân which is not studied. Therefore, researchers begin to pay attention to several untouched Mecmûa in the libraries. In order to make more credible remarks in respect to the history of literature, Mecmûa is the source which should certainly be applied. In most of the Tezkire, the examinations which are made superficially for several poets within certain limits turn into more reliable ones by means of Mecmûa. Lots of poets who have not divan but have poems become well-known thanks to Mecmûa which also takes a great role in determining the literature and art taste of its period. The Mecmûa which I have been studying is the one concerning mainly the poets from Diyarbakır between the dates, 15th century and 19th century. It is a very important work related not only to the unfamiliar poets mentioned in Tezkire but also to the famous poets such as Nâbî, Fuzûlî, Rûhî from Baghdad, Yavuz Sultân Selîm, Shah İsmail, and even to the poems which are not found in the divan of the historical personages.
