Abstract (EN)

In this study, the relationships between the productivity of red pine forests and the environmental variables were investigated in Antalya-Düzlerçamı district. Forthispurpose, inventory study was performed to 51 natural red pine (Pinus brutia Ten.) stands specified at different altitudes away from human pressure. Age and heighs for 3 different plus trees (bonitet tree) in each stand were measured. Then, site index (top height) value of each stand was calculated on 75-year basis by using one way volumetable of red pine. In order to reveal the productivity-environment relationships of red pine, correlation (Pearson and Spearman) analysis was used for determining binary linear relation multiple-regression analysis, logistic regression and regression tree method was employed respectively during the productivity modeling stage. Furthermore, spearman correlation analysis was applied to determine plant species that may be indicative of the productivity of red pine species. As a result of the aplied multiple regression analysis; sand, lower slope and straight land variables are statistically significant for the productivity of this species. According to logistic regression analysis, skeletal content, lower slope, straight land, conglomerate variables are statistically significant for the productivity of this species. As a result of the regression tree technique, sand, straight land and lower slope variables are statistically significant for the productivity of this species. The common finding of all analyzes is that the values found in sand, straight land and lower slope lands below 40% are the most suitable yields. Finally in this study, It is determined that pinus brutia is positive with Arbandr and Quecerr types, but it is negative with Aspaest and Osyalba types It is suggested. It is estimated that the results of the study will be beneficial for the forestry of the country in the management and sustainability plans for the red pine forests in the region.
