Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the impact of the fundamental components of a document management system (DMS) on the importance levels of logistics performance criteria. In the first section of the study, the concepts of supply chain and logistics management are addressed together, and logistics performance criteria at the global, national, and business levels are listed. Additionally, the relationship between logistics management performance and business performance is explained. The second section of the study discusses DMS models and fundamental components and explains the relationship between DMS and logistics management. In the final section, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), one of the multi-criteria decision-making methods, was used to investigate the effects of DMS fundamental components on the importance ranking of logistics performance criteria in businesses. In the application, a two-tier hierarchy was used, with the main criteria formed by DMS components at the top and logistics performance criteria at the bottom. As a result of AHP, inventory management ranked first with an importance weight of 0.2417, followed by the collaboration logistics performance criterion with a weight of 0.2230. These criteria are followed by time, shipment, and cost criteria with values of 0.1955, 0.1885, and 0.1512, respectively. These results indicate that the ranking of logistics performance criteria in the context of DMS differs from what is encountered in the literature, showing that criteria related to activities requiring coordination and synchronization rank first. The results of the studies suggest that while evaluating their logistics performance, businesses could develop a process that not only considers a single perspective but also takes into account the viewpoints of other functional departments and stakeholders.
