Abstract (EN)

The technology of the 21st century progressing by reducing the size of the materials to nanometer sizes and hence producing new materials, devices and systems that have new functionalities. When the size of the material reduced to the nanometer level, the changes in the surface properties and the interaction of the materials with each other provide to occur new and superior features in the structure of the material and this causes the usage of the nano structured material electronic, optical, in biomedical and biotechnological applications. In recent years, the usage of the magnetic nanomaterial in biomedical and biotechnological applications becomes important. Another important application of the magnetic nanomaterial is the removal of dyestuffs and heavy metals from aqueous medium by adsorption method. Removal of pollutants in waste water is carried out by various physical, chemical and biological methods and the degree of the effectiveness of these methods depending on the type of the pollutant and component of the waste water. Moreover, the cost and duration of the method is also influential on applicability. Adsorption, one of the techniques used in wastewater treatment, is a widely used method because it can be applied to different types of pollutants, is less costly and easier. In recent years, in scientific studies aimed at protecting the environment magnetic separation technique using magnetic particles is widely used. Materials containing magnetic properties used in separation-purification processes are expected to be selected from easily synthesizable, low-cost and non-environmentally harmful substances. The most common magnetic materials on the earth globe are magnetite and maghemite. Since these compounds have magnetic properties, they are widely used to provide magnetic effect in separation-purification applications. In this project, we aim to magnetite (FeCl2 and FeCl3) nanoparticles were loading to the tomato pulp (TP). The tomato pulp (TP) and prepared magnetic nanocomposite (MTP) were characterized and used to remove methylene blue and reactive blue 19 from aqueous solution. The morphologies and surface chemistries of TP and MTP were studied by FTIR, SEM, VSM, BET surface area, proksimate and elemental analysis determinations. Batch adsorption studies were carried out and effects of pH, initial MM and RB19 concentration, adsorbent dose, ionic strengt and temperature were investigated. Kinetic and isotherm studies were performed to evaluate the physicochemical interaction between adsorbent and adsorbant. Using the kinetic and isotherm data, kinetic, isotherm and thermodynamic parameters of the adsorption system were determined.
