Özet (EN)

In this study carried out in Düzce, the effect of boron application in hazelnut on the physical and chemical properties of the fruit, yield and vegetative growth was investigated. Two cultivars, Palaz and Akçakoca Sarısı, were used in the study. Sodium borate was applied to the plants at doses of 400, 800 and 1600 ppm from the leaves. 800 ppm boron application was the application that increased the yield the most in both cultivars and an increase of up to 30% was achieved. In Sarı cultivar, the yield was 45.16% in the control group, and was 47.22% at the highest in 800 ppm B dose. In Palaz cultivar, the highest yield rate was determined as 46.85% in 800 ppm B application. Again, 800 ppm B application was found to be more effective in terms of fruit internal weight, 100 fruit weight and fruit size. In the study, it was observed that boron application did not affect vegetative development such as leaf characteristics and crown development. In terms of fruit internal defects, the effect of boron applications was insignificant in Palaz except wrinkled fruit rate and double fruit rate. In addition, boron application did not affect the fatty acids and oil ratio except linoleic acid. In both cultivars, 800 ppm B application was the application in which the highest linoleic acid was measured. As a result, it has been concluded that the 800 ppm dose can be determined as the most ideal dose, although it varies according to the variety.
