THE EFFECT OF TRAINING ACCORDING TO THE MIDWIVES RESILIENCE MODEL ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL RESILENCE AND STRESS LEVELS OF MIDWIVES: A RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRİAL Ebrar HACIKÖYLÜ Amasya University, Institute of Health Sciences Department of Midwifery, Master's Degree, June/2024 Advisor: Assoc. Dr. Duygu MURAT ÖZTÜRK This study aims to investigate midwives' resilience and stress level exposure to the training given according to the midwifery resilience model. This research, which is a pre-test post-test randomized controlled trial research type, was conducted with midwives working in Amasya province between 5 August 2023 and 1 February 2024. The study was completed with 63 midwives, 28 in the experimental group and 35 in the control group. Research data were collected using the Personal Information Form, Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA) and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). Midwives in the experimental groups were given a 3-day face-to-face training based on the midwifery resilience model. The midwives participating in the study have different sociodemographic characteristics and working conditions, and when the total scores of the RSA are examined, the control and experimental groups are respectively in the pre-test; 122.69±14.73, 125.57±18.41, respectively, in the 2nd test; 125.83±13.25, 140.57±14.8, respectively in the post-test; It was found to be 120.43±12.9, 138.68±16.24. When the total scores of the PSS were examined, the control and experimental groups were respectively in the pre-test; 25.66±4.17, 23.43±8.61, respectively, in the 2nd test; 27±5.4, 23.18±7.94, respectively in the post-test; It was found to be 29.11±4.25, 19.54±7.59. It was found that RSA and PSS subscale scores differed according to groups and follow-ups. It was determined that the psychological resilience scores in the control and experimental groups were close to each other before the training, but there were differences in the second and final test after the training, and the score of the experimental group was higher than the control group. PSS scores were close to each other before the training, and after the training, it was determined that the scores of the experimental group decreased while the scores of the control group increased. Accordingly, with the psychological resilience training given to midwives, it is seen that the psychological resilience of midwives increases and their stress levels decrease. The training was found to be effective. In line with all these, it is suggested that training and studies on psychological resilience in midwives should be increased. Key Words: Midwifery, Perceived stress, Psychological resilience, Resilience model
