Abstract (EN)

Today, the environment is regarded as one of the most important and pressing issues that requires human attention and care in general and in particular, as well as state representation in legislation in particular, because preserving it means preserving humans and other living creatures of all kinds. Given that the environment encompasses all of the environments in which we live, we believe that it is critical for people to pay attention to it in order to exist. Thus, pay attention to pollution and consider it one of the factors that degrade and affect the ecosystem. As a result, the purpose of this research was to shed light on the issue of rainwater pollution, which is the most essential and harmful sort of pollution that people face, by addressing its idea, image, and impact. In my research, I've demonstrated the impact of acid rain on our environment as well as the dangers it poses to humanity in general. because of its impact on humans, animals, plants, rivers, and lakes ( because water is the secret of life ) . This is due to a rise in pollution, population growth, and the absence of alternative energy consumption. Today in this century, we are confronted with the problem of pollution, and the state must offer facilities for the use of clean alternative energy in order to protect the environment. Experiments were conducted under the influence of natural factors in Baghdad from 2/2/2022 to 2/5/2022 using three models of building materials (hollow blocks, red roof tiles, and bricks) with different concentrations of pH (3-4-5) for each model. To show its effect, It was found through experiments that the more acidic the rain, the greater the corrosion in building materials. This corrosion rate is at pH 3 for each of them (hollow block 17.7%), (brick 10.3%), and (red roof tiles 1.1%), as well as the difference in materials in corrosion, which gives importance in the construction of statues and buildings in terms of priority in the rates of i erosion. This shows the susceptibility to erosion of the roofs, with red tiles more capable of bearing acid rain.
