The effect of some of plantal wastes on Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq. ex. Fr.) Kum.'s vegetative development, yield and nutritional value

Abstract (EN)
In this study mycelium was derived from P. ostreatus', grown in Diyarbakır region naturally and used as seed mycelium (spawn). For propagation main culture 2.0% malt-extract agar was used whereas wheat grains were used for the propagation of seed mycelium (spawn). For culture media, as raw material Wheat Straw (WS), Cotton Straw (CS) and as additives Wheat Bran (WB), Rice Bran (RB) and Cotton Seed Crust (CSC) were used. P.ostreatus culture compost was obtained with pure state of raw material and 1:1 mixture of those materials and as additives to 100 mg of them, Rice Bran and with the additi on of dose of Cotton Seed Crust with 10,15 and 20. The effects of different culture medias on P. ostreatus' Mycelium Growing Days, Primordial İnitiation Days, Harvest Periods, Yield, Biological Efficiency and Nutrititional Value (Crude Protein, Aminoacid Mineral Material, and Vitamin) were observed. P. ostreatus Mycelium Growing Days 13.60 -21.60 days, Primordial İnitiation Days 22.40 – 57.80 days, the First Harvest Periods 27.40 days, Total Harvest Periods were observed as 113.50 in seven harvest on different wastes. When WS*, WS+%10CSC, WS+%15CSC, WS+%15RB were used in culture media, only in three harvest yield was obtained. Whereas in WS+%20CSC, WS+%10RB, WS+%20RB, CS*, CS+%10CSC, CS+15CSC, CS+%20CSC, CS+%10RB, CS+%15RB, CS+%20RB, WS+CS*, WS+CS+%10CSC, WS+CS+%15CSC, WS+CS+%20CSC, WS+CS+%10RB, WS+CS+%15RB, WS+CS+%20RB during seven harvest yield was not obtained. While with 100 gr of moist compost's in three harvest 17.68 g yield was obtained from CS+%15RB, the highest yield was obtained from WS+CS+%20RB, 36.55. It was observed that according to result of seven harvest the lowest yield was obtained from CS+%15RB, 27.88 g and the highest yield was obtained from WS+CS+%20RB 48.46 g. While biological efficiency was evaluated according to result of harvest the lowest obtained from WS+%15RB, 58.76%, and the highest from WS+%10CSC, 121.86%, on the other hand according to result of the seventh harvest the lowest was obtained from WS+CS%20RB, 92.91%, the highest was obtained from CS%10RB, 156.17 %. And also it was detected that in P. ostreatus in dry weight, the lowest raw protein was in WS%10RB, 26.00 %, the highest was in WS+CS%20RB, 58.00%. In addition to this mineral material contents were detected in 25.08-41.40 mg/g K, 87.33-617.00 mg/kg Na, 27.81-82.65 mg/100g Mg, 440.33-2558.00 mg/kg Fe, 4.37-55.73 mg/kg Zn, 0.04-22.49 mg/kg Ni, 70.67-342.47 mg/kg Al, 0.05-10.85 mg/kg mg/kg Cr, 0.07-3.07 mg/kg Hg and 0.11-1.23 mg/kg Pb. And also toxic metals like Co and Se were detected. But despite of this detections, in statistical analysis differences among any medias weren't detected. P. ostreatus aminoacid ratios related to used materials and additives : Asp (Aspartic acid); 3.33-147.00 mg/100g, Glu(Glutamic acid); 2.33-105.00 mg/100g, Ser (Serine); 2.00-10.00 mg/100g, His (Histidine); 4.00-23.00 mg/100g, Gly (Glycine); 0.33-4.67 mg/100g, Thr (Tyrosine); 2.00-41.00 mg/100g, Arg (Arginine); 3.00-45.67 mg/100g, Ala (Alanine); 1.00-38.33 mg/100g, Cys (Cysteine); 0.67-30.67 mg/100g, Val (Valine); 0.33-2.00 mg/100g, Met (Methionine); 2.00-8.67 mg/100g, Ile (Isoleucine); 0.33-17.67 mg/100g, Leu (Leucine); 2.00-6.37 mg/100g, Lys (Lysine); 5.00-16.00 mg/100g, Pro (Proline); 1.00-4.67 mg/100 g were detected but Phe (Phenyalanine) aminoacid weren't. Besides, in P. ostreatus vitamin ingredients were detected as 0.23-0.35 mg/100g B1 (Thiamine), 0.01-0.14 mg/100g B6 (Pridoxine), 3.65-13.47 mg/100g B3 Nicotinicacid (Niacin), 5.29-9.13 mg/100g Nicotinamide, 13.08-30.78 mg/100g B5 (Pantothenic Acid) ve 0.36-0.66 mg/100g B2 (Riboflavin). In conclusion, it is determined that when compost is valued, obtained with cotton straws, especially as crude material, pure state and also mixed with and wheat straw with ratio 1:1, in P. ostreatus culture is more proper for abundant product. It is determined the yield's that obtained from the compost, prepared by suplement of additives like cotton seed crust into crude material, contents can be enriched in protein ratio, vitamin value, aminoacid value.
