The evaluation of the wievs of the teaching staffs of the faculty of education on organizational stress variants (Dicle, Firat and İnönü universities samples)

The purpose of this study is to determine views of teaching staff at colleges ofeducation from Dicle University, nönü University, and Fırat University on organizationalstress factors.The sample of the study is 241 teaching staff currently teaching in these colleges. Thetotal number of returns for the surveys has been 175, and 164 of them have been foundsuitable for evaluation.The survey instrument used in the study has been adopted from nayet Pehlivan?s(1993) survey used in his dissertation titled ?Sources of Organizational Stress?.In this study, two sections of Pehlivan?s survey were used for analysis: ?sources oforganizational stress? and ?ways to overcome stress.?T-test and One-Way variance were used for data analysis. After these analyses,frequency, percent, mean, standard deviation and arithmetic means of responses weredetermined. 0.05 was determined as the significance level.Below are some important findings from the study:In terms of the teaching staff?s perception of stress sources resulting from theauthority structure of functional environment, gender and marital status were found assignificant variables.In terms of the teaching staff?s perception of stress sources resulting from theproduction structure of functional environment, gender and marital status were foundas significant variables.In terms of the teaching staff?s perception of stress sources resulting from thegrouping structure of social environment, marital status was found as a significantvariable.In terms of the teaching staff?s perception of stress sources resulting from thecultural structure of social environment, marital status was found as a significantvariable.In terms of the teaching staff?s perception of ways to deal with stress, spaceand marital status were found as significant variables.
