This work has been prepared in order to determine assistant directors andteachers? evaluation about Performance Management Sufficieny of high schoolheadmasters in point of Total Quality Management.The universe of this work consists of 26 assistant directors and 393 teacherswho were working at 7 high schools and 3 Anatolian high schools in Bakırköy,İstanbul during the term of 2005?2006.The sample of this work consists of 65 percent of the teachers. Theseparticipants were chosen with impartiality method and random choice. All assistantdirectors were included in the sample. Thus, the research consists of 278 participants.The questionnaire has two parts. In the first part, there is personalinformation of the participants. In the second part, there are 68 questions about howthe participants evaluate Performance Management Sufficieny of high schoolheadmasters in point of Total Quality Management.SPSS Statistics Program was used to analyse the data of this work.Performance Management Sufficieny of high school headmasters is the dependentfactor of this work. The participants? sex, age, education, educational courses orseminars attended about management and knowledge of Total Quality Managementare the independent factors of this work.First, the profiles of the participants in the sample were determined. Thusfrequency table and percentage table were formed. First inferior problem of this workis about Performance Management Sufficieny of high school headmasters which wasdetermined by the teachers? perceptions. In the analysis of this problem, dispersionof percentage and frequency and mean were used. In the analysis of other inferiorproblems, mean, standart deviation and (one way) variance analysis were used.The perceptions of the teachers about Performance Management Sufficienyof high school headmasters have not shown a significant difference in respect of theteachers? sex, age, education, educational courses or seminars attended aboutmanagement and knowledge of Total Quality Management.According to the analysis, it is thought that the headmasters are insufficientof especially human resource management, time management motivation andorientation.It is also determined that the headmasters do not make enough effort tosupply the teachers? satisfaction on their works and that the headmasters areinsufficient of motivation management and performance evaluation process.It is thought that the school headmasters do not let the teachers and the otherstaff to declare their opinions about the decisions. In addition to this, they haveneither supported nor directed the teachers and the other staff for the team work.
