Textile, which has been the oldest creations of the human being from the ancient times to present day, has changed a lot in time. The use of natural fibers and dyestuffs that have been used in Traditional Textile Art for years, has begun to disappear in historical period due to both decrease and restrictions in natural resources and also the rise of the industrialization. At the foundations of the works to analyse the problem, the use of materials which does not harm the human and the environment has gained importance. In textile field, the works on "ecological textiles" has loomed large and has taken a lot of interest. Ecological production, ecological life and the respect for the environment have loomed large in the creative thinking of the formation of designs. Design means to form and represent something. At the same time, design is the plan or the idea which has been developed to solve a problem and the idea also contains the dynamics of the formation. Fundamentally, design is some kind of method of communication of human with surroundings. It shows itself in different models according to substance categories such as information, ethics, art and technics. The fashion, which is also a kind of communication, is a tool that runs and defines the identitites by the sembolical interaction in the period of socialization according to selections but not the rules. On the other hand, fashion design is affected by the cultural, social and economical environment. Also it changes in time and place. The brands that turns the world fashion, and the fashion designers who has turned the environment consciousness into a life style are leading the ecological trends. In consequence, ecological textile has affected the fashion concept.
