Because law becomes a form of conscious. The studies which see law as a form of conscious, now have the same name with a conference, Conference on Critical Legal Studies, which took place in USA. Critical Legal Studies Movement is a critic of legal liberalism by the arguments of legal indeterminism, the partiality of law and legal ideology. This movement, originates from USA, found proponents in Europe and there are still some studies in Europe which have almost the same name with Critical Legal Studies. But unfortunately, Critical Legal Studies are not so well-known in Turkey by Turkish legal philosophers. So, it was an absolute necessity to study on Critical Legal Studies in a descriptive manner. It is also necessary to render critical approaches current nowadays. It is the primarily aim and importance of this work, named Critical Legal Studies Movement/ Leading Theoreticians and Basic Problems.
