Abstract (EN)
Aim: This variable is the measurement range of parameters that indicate the transition of people aged fifty and over to colon cancer screening. Material and Method: The sampling of our research consists of 100 people between the ages of 50-71 throughout Turkey. In the study, the sociodemographic characteristics of the individuals and the colorectal cancer risk factors were collected online with the questionnaire formula and the Colorectal Cancer Screening Attitude Belief Scale. Conclucion: To date, %11 of the individuals participating in our study have had at least one colon cancer screening done. According to the data obtained the mean scores obtained from the sub-dimensions of the Colorectal Cancer Screening Attitude Belief Scale are respectively; Caring-intimacy sub-dimension mean score (14,080±2,334), social influence sub-dimension mean score (11,640±2,758), perceptive perception sub-score mean (10,440±1,909), responsiveness sub-dimension score mean (7,430±1,430) and cancer anxiety sub-dimension mean score was found to be (5,850±1,966). Result: There was no significant relationship between the scores of the CCTTI Scale sub-dimensions and the status of individuals having colon cancer screening test. Only 11% of the participants in our study had a screening test before, and 89% did not. 27.3% of those who have had the test see themselves as risky, and 18% of those who have never had a screening test see themselves as risky in the future. It is thought that participation in screening tests will increase as there are situations that do not have a screening test and see themselves as risky.
