Abstract (EN)

In this study, izod notch impact test, tensile test, three point bending test and pin bearing tests were applied to determine the mechanical properties of glass, carbon fiber reinforced and hybrid composite materials produced by hand lay-up method. According to the test results, it has been determined that the mechanical properties of the produced composite materials depend strongly on the density of the woven fabric, which is the reinforcing element used in production. It has been determined that the highest mechanical properties of the composite materials used as reinforcing elements of glass woven fabrics are in the materials having a woven fabric density of 300 gr/m2. In addition, when the carbon fiber reinforced composite material with low impact resistance is hybridized with glass fiber of 300 gr/m2, an increase of about %51 is observed in impact strength. According to the obtained results, while the glass fiber increase the impact strength, the carbon fiber increase the mechanical properties such as tensile strength, bending strength and pin bearing strength in the hybrid material.
