Abstract (EN)
This study aims to reveal the language and style of Emine Semiye, based on 15 stories she wrote between 1895-1935. The thesis consists of four main parts: "Introduction", "The era of Emine Semiye's Upbringing and Life", "Research" and "Conclusion". The stories were obtained from the National Library of Turkey and the periodicals they were published in, 13 stories written in Arabic letters were transferred to Latin letters, 2 disorganized story drafts in Latin letters in "Emine Semiye Yularkıran'ın Tuttuğu Notlar" were arranged according to the context and the text part has been obtained. Stories are labeled in terms of vocabulary, sentences and literary arts; the findings obtained from here have been classified and interpreted. Emine Semiye whose name is among the first feminists is a writer who lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In most of her works, she writes for the education of women by putting women at the center, and her writings are serialized in the newspapers. According to the period, her language is simple. She includes idioms, archaic words and local expressions in her stories. It is seen that she has a rich vocabulary. She has a movement-based style.
