Özet (EN)
ABSTRACT INVESTIGATION OF ASPROSIN IMMUNREACTIVITY IN ENDOMETRIAL HYPERPLASIA AND EARLY STAGE ENDOMETRIUM CANCER Endometrial cancer is the most common type of gynecological cancer detected in developed countries, although there is no specific screening test. Although the majority of endometrial cancer can be detected at an early stage, advanced stage is an important cause of mortality in cases that are detected late. In our study, asprosin immunoreactivity was investigated in endometrial hyperplasia and Grade I endometrial adenocarcinoma. In our study, endometrium sample (biopsy and resections) belonging to the area named proliferative endometrium (n=20), simple endometrial hyperplasia without atypia (n=20), endometrial hyperplasia with simple atypia (n=20), endometrial hyperplasia without complex atypia (n=20), endometrial hyperplasia with complex atypia (n=20) and Grade I endometrial adenocarcinoma (n=20) ) light microscopy of immunohistochemical staining for asprosin immunoreactivity was evaluated. Compared to the proliferative endometrium group, Asprosin Immunreactivity was observed similarly in the Simple endometrial hyperplasia without atypia (p=0.662), Simple endometrial hyperplasia with atypia (p=0.987), Complex endometrial hyperplasia without atypia (p=0.834) and Complex atypia endometrial hyperplasia (p=0.997) groups and no statistically significant difference was observed between the groups. When compared with the proliferative endometrium group, Asprosin Immunreactivity was observed to be statistically significantly increased in Grade I endometrial adenocarcinoma (p<0.001). In conclusion, asprosin immune reactivity is statistically significantly increased in Grade I endometrial adenocarcinoma. Keywords: asprosin, endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial adenocarcinoma
