Abstract (EN)

The most important source of the banks that have a significant share in the economy is to make loans. Banks use the deposits they collect from their savings holders as loans and try to increase their profits. In this case, the banks may face the problem of non-repayment of the loans. Especially during the recession and crisis periods, the amount of the non-performing loan increase and these have negative consequences on the national economy. In this respect, it is important to identify the factors that are effective on non-performing loans. This study consists of four parts; inflation rates, interest rates, and the effect of exchange rates on the non-performing loans has been examined. The first part of my study;it was researched the relationship between inflation and interest rates between 2000 and 2016. In the second part, studies on the causes and effects of changes in exchange rates have been compiled. The relationship between these three parameters was also analyzed. In the third part; the amount of loans and their subsequent default bank credit loan amounts have been scrutinized. In the fourth part; ın the period between 2000 and 2016, the effect of these three parameters on bank credits was studied. The obtained data are interpreted in comparison with the diagrams and graphics. According to this; ıt has been observed that in some years changes in these three parameters have changed the amount of non-performing loans in the same way. Unlike, it has not changed in some years. In periods such as crisis and stagnation, it has been observed that the amounts of the non-performing loans can not be connected only for these reasons. From this point of view, the reduction in non-performing loan volumes can be achieved not only by measures taken by banks, but by a positive balance of all macroeconomic indicators of a country.
