Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of this study the words ethnography and museum are defined and the origin of museology, its historical development, the consept of museology in Europe and in Turkey (Ottoman Period and Turkish Republic) are explained. The museums of Ankara, Çankırı, Eskişehir and Yozgat, dicussed in this study, are studied Within the concepts of ?ethnography? and ?museum? and Within the frame of Turkish culture composition of Central Anatolia Region. By discussing the situations and exhibition methods of Ankara, Çankırı, Eskişehir and Yozgat Ethnography Museums, the matter that forms story memory upon visitors is remarked. Moreover, the publicity and the marketing of the culture are revived by referring to national heredity and image management. In accordance with the approaches of recent modern museology, the situations of ethnography museums in Turkey are evaluated based on the examples of Ankara, Çankırı, Eskişehir and Yozgat Ethnography Museums.
