Abstract (EN)

This study presents an evaluation of the English program at Kozan Vocational School of Çukurova University from the students point of view. It investigates what the students think about the usefulness and effectiveness of this program and the problems they encounter as well as if this program meets the needs and expectations of the students. In order to achieve this aim, two instruments were used. First of all, a questionnaire by which the students evaluate the program from different perspectives was given. Then, they were interviewed to elicit their opinions about the program. The results reveal that the students face certain problems such as the difficulty of the course content considering their level of English, unattractive and irrelevant course materials, lack of motivation and interest and lack of physical equipments. Thus, the data reveal that the program does not match students? expectations and needs. Therefore, it needs to be improved and adapted for matching to students? future needs.
