Abstract (EN)
The study was conducted in order to determine the frequency of sexual dysfunction among married women, aged between 15 years to 49 years, in different socio-economic region of Antalya Province (between the city center and slum areas). Sample of the study consisted of married women aged between 15 years to 49 years who were registered to Number Two Primary Health Care Center in the city centre and Number 17 Selahattin Topçu Primary Health Care Center in the slum area. While gatherind data, survey form developed by researcher as well as ?Female Sexual Function Examination Index? developed by Kaplan, Reis et al (1999) were used. Before the application of survey form and scale, participitants were provided with both written and verbal information and their approvals were obtained. In data analysis, student?s t test was used in paired groups an done-way variance analysis was used in comparing variables with more than two subgroups in terms of sexual funtion scores. Analysis were conducted by SPSS 13.0 software package. When the difference between groups were found to be significant, Scheffe test was applied in order to determine which group causes the difference. In the study, the frequency of sexual dysfunction in women were assessed by IFSF scores. With respect to resultant data, 6.8 % of women had very low, 16.5 % low, 46.5 % intermediate and 30.2 % high IFSF scores. Moreover, it was revealed that sexual functions of women are affected by many factors. Among these factors, the most significant is determined to be age and it was found that status of education, education status of husband, employment status, profession, marriage period, location of residence until the age of 14 years, number of inhabitants at home, status of income, means of terminating pregnancy, number of delivery, number of children, means of delivery, menstrual cycle, smoking and body mass index affects sexual functions significantly. It was also determined that type of family, type of marriage, number of rooms at home, presence of private room and birth control method used by women does not have a statistically significant effect on sexual functions of women. This study aiming to determine the frequency of sexual functioning disorders seen among women will enlighten the researchs regarding nursing on sexual functioning disorders and etiology and will guide to supply training and counselling services.
