Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to examine the predictive power of childhood traumas and differentiation of self on the level of marital satisfaction. This study used a quantitative, predictive correlational research design model. The data of the research were collected with the convenient sampling method. The participants of the research consist of 500 married individuals living in Turkey. In collecting the data, the demographic information form prepared by the researcher, Marriage Satisfaction Scale, Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, and Differentiation of Self Scale has been applied. The obtained data were analyzed with the SPSS 26.0 package program. Independent Groups t-Test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Tukey analysis from Post-Hoc techniques, Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Hierarchical Regression were used in the analysis of the data. The findings of the research indicate that childhood traumas and differentiation of self have a predictive power on marital satisfaction. The predictive power of the independent variables on marital satisfaction is 10%. There was no significant difference between marital satisfaction and gender, education level, age, dating duration, having child and duration of marriage
