Examining effects of life kinetics and psychological skill trainings on hockey skill and psychological variables

Abstract (EN)
Recently from the studies in the field of sport science the importance of life kinetic trainings beside psychological skill trainings in order to increase the sporty performance was understood. Psycohogical skill training means that making athletes gain needed techniques and methods to increase their performance in the sports field. The aim of this research is to examine effects of life kinetics and psychological skill trainings on hockey skill and psychological variables. The sample of the study is male hockey athletes between 14-16 aged doing regular training in the hockey clups in Gaziantep. Physical skill training, psychological skill training and life kinetic training were applied to the athletes in the experimental group during 10 weeks, 2 days a week and 45 minutes a day. Some forms and tests were applied to collect the data such as 'D2 test of attention' developed by Brickenkamp (1981), 'self confidence scale' developed by Akın (2007), Scale for evaluating the psychological skills of athletes developed by Smith and his friends (1995), hockey dribbling test developed by Lemmink and his friend (2004), shooting test with the flick technique developed by Smith (2001). In the analyzing the data obtained during the study, SPSS 23 statistics package program has been used. The analyzes were made by compairing the pre-test post-test model and the experimental control groups. The normality test of the obtained data was done with Kolmogorow Smirnow test and Kruskal Wallis test was used to compare the group in terms of control group. Wilcoxon test was used in comparison of pre-test post-test values within the group. Statistical significance level p<0.05 was accepted. As a result it was determined that 10 weeked life kinetic and psychological kinetic trainings had positive effects on athletes' psychological performance such as self confidence, attention levels on the other hand ıt was determined that life kinetic trainings didn't effect significant improvement on the level of self confidence and others of among the psychological variable parameters of athletes.
