Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine the effects of different zinc doses on yield and oil quality in some safflower genotypes. Dinçer and Remzibey genotypes were used as material in the study. Zinc liquid foliar fertilizer was applied in 5 different doses (0, 250ppm, 500ppm, 1000ppm, 2000ppm) applied by spraying on the leaves. Field trials were carried out in the research area of Dicle University in the production year of 2020-2021, according to the randomized blocks divided plots trial design, with three replications. To determine effects of different zinc doses on the varieties as plant height, number of branches, number of heads, seed number in capitula, diameter of capitula, grain yield, thousand grains, chlorophyll amount were determined, protein and oil content which provide important information about quality and fatty acid compositions were determined. As a consequence of trials carried out in field conditions, In the study, although it varies according to genotypes, the difference between genotypes and the differences between zinc dose applications were found to be significant. In general, Remzibey genotype (plant height 125.87 cm, number of branches 12.33 units/plant, number of capitula 12.83 units/plant, yield 386.79 kg/da, protein 15.05%, chlorophyll 350.66 values) ) came to the fore with 2000 ppm application. İn terms of fatty acid composition, Which The effects of cultivars and zinc doses were found to be significant. The highest rates of oleic (28.36%), arachidonic (0.52%) and eicosenoic acid (0.19%) were determined in Remzibey genotype and 2000 ppm, but stearic acid ratio was determined in 1000 ppm zinc application. On the other hand, the highest palmitic (7.72% - 500 ppm), myristic (0.15%- 2000 ppm), linoleic (74.39% - 250 ppm) and linolenic acid (1.02% - 500 ppm) ration Dinçer featured in the variety. In this study, it was concluded that zinc applications come to the forefront in terms of both yield components and quality characteristics of genotypes and that zinc can be recommended for safflower production.
