Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, prefabricated pediatric zirconia crowns, which are frequently used by pediatric dentists in recent years, were evaluated under the effect of average masticatory forces (240 N). The von Mises stress values occurring in pediatric zirconia crowns, primary tooth dentin and adhesive cements were calculated using finite element analysis method. Four different cementing materials (resin cement, glass ionomer cement, zinc phosphate cement and resin modified glass ionomer cement) for crown cementation, three different cement thicknesses (50 μ, 700 μ and 1200 μ) and with two different angles to simulate bite force (0o and 45o) were evaluated by applying a force. All cementation materials were calculated to have similar stress distributions on zirconia crown and dentin at all cement thicknesses and all angle values. It was observed that resin modified glass ionomer cement had lower stress values than other cementation materials in all conditions, while zinc phosphate cement had higher stress values than other cementation materials in all conditions. It was concluded that as the cement thickness increases, the stress transmitted to the primary tooth dentin decreases, creating a cushioning effect.
